Locksmith Advice From Our Golders Green Team

Most of what we write about starts with a door that will not open or a lock that no longer feels safe. A key that turns but does not throw the bolt usually means a worn euro cylinder rather than a broken door. A key that snaps in the barrel is almost always a key that was already bent. Neither needs a new door, and both are cheaper to deal with the same day than a week later, once the cylinder has been forced. Where a lock is being replaced rather than repaired, we fit to British Standard BS3621 on timber doors and TS007 three star rated cylinders on UPVC and composite doors, which is what most home insurers ask to see.
